Since nobody explained to the OP, a heavier flywheel tranfers more energy than the lighter one, meaning the steel flywheel gives you better 60 foot times while the lighter one will help you trap higher MPH's. There's situations where having a heavier flywheel will be beneficial, or else everyone would be running aluminum ones.
