I am located in West Michigan, Grand Haven (Grand Rapids) area and am looking for a shop specializing in T56's.

There are quite a few transmission shops around and before I start calling, I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for shops.

I see that TheGearBox.org is highly recommended and located in Detroit.

Does anyone know of any closer options?

3rd gear kicks back out at me every once in a while.

Hi,

We aren't closer than the gear box. But we do offer great shipping rates. Our turn around time on a T56 is about 7-10 business days. We would be happy to help you out if you would like us to do the work. We can schedule a pickup at a local (to you) business and have the trans here in 1-2 days. We would tear the transmission down, inspect it for damage, I would work you up a quote, you choose what works best for you, we repair and reassemble the trans and ship it back to you. It is a pretty painless process.
