Diamond Stage 2 clutch kit is $379 shipped to your door. It will work with a stock flywheel as long as you get it resurfaced. Do some searching here and you'll see a lot of good feedback. Thanks!

I stock the Centerforce Dual Friction and Ram Powergrip for LS cars and have had nothing but great luck with both. I can help with prices if needed, I know the pain of cash strapped projects!

Except that I'm attaching it to a 14 pound steel fly wheel.
I'd like to hear from any Centerforce guys running the dual friction unit and how they like it.
It sucks on anything over mild boltons if you go racing alot....

Then it's perfect because I don't race her, she has mild engine mods.
Mostly suspension work as I like to run timed road course events twice a year.
This Flywheel is 8 pounds lighter than stock.

ACT GM-9 HDSS! It uses stock ls1 flat flywheel as well.

http://www2.advancedclutch.com/14230...5.7L_N_FI.html

Prices are likey lower from forum sponsors. This clutch is fantastic for street and occasional track use. Pedal is a little stiffer but not as stiff as a spec. Its fully SFI rated and will handle over 700lbs of TQ. Sale Thread https://ls1tech.com/forums/15654087-post2.html

This is my third clutch first was stocker then Southbend stage 2&3 which used basically a stock PP with different disk and I blew threw them. Ive been to the track a few times with this and drive it daily and never had any issues. In fact last time I was at the track I broke a stub but the clutch held like a champ.

My power now is 440/410 and it handles it with ease.

Bringing this thread back...

I am seriously looking at this clutch + tick MC for my 89 IROC (stock LS1). Car will be for heavy street use (I never go to the track). Price is a good bit lower then some of the other clutches out there. ACT has a big following in the import crowd... I cant find any info on the LS1 version of this clutch...

dose anyone else have it?

I actually ran an ACT 2600 in my 2g AWD Eclipse and LOVED it. I was seriously considering the HDSS or the 6 puck sprung version (HDG6). I'm going with the prolite flywheel too.

Anyone have any input?

I'm sticking with Monster, but I'm a bit biased. Looks like the O.P. of this thread and quite a few others agree with me.

i got for ACT 6 puck. I got mine for 420$ and it holds 925ftlbs of tq.

Best bang for the buck i found

I use mine on my track car and give it utter abuse, launches and clutch kicks

He said it had a new stage 3 clutch, press. plate, slave, master put in a few months ago.....so i have came to the conclusion that he either just said it had a new clutch, etc. or he dogged it and now its messed up. I would like to find a good clutch for as cheap as possible. It doesnt have to much done to motor but i plan on building around a 450-500hp motor for it eventually and it already has tranny with heavy duty springs and synchros. I have looked quite heavily into an ls7 clutch/ls2 flywheel swap and many other options such as the centerforce DF and DFX and the Ram Powergrip.....I was wondering if i could get some good/bad feedback on the centerforce and ram (especially the difference in the DF and DFX and which would be better for me)......OR could i possibly just get a pressure plate, slave with throwout, and clutch disc once i found out what kind it is and have the flywheel turned.....AND PLEASE REMEMBER.....im not exactly strapped for cash but i understand any way isnt gonna be cheap...so any feedback on what i have listed or anything else would be great. THANK YOU

any suggestions will be greatly appreciated
Reviving this thread once again from the dead what did you wind up getting and how has it held up after these years? I have a 2000 ws6 with about 500rwhp and an oem clutsch lolol. Replacing it asap. By the looks of the thread I am leaning toward the Monster stage 2. Its a weekend driver and I'd prefer to keep some drivability. I wonder if I will feel the difference with the new one. Exciting the thought. My performance shop prefers to use texas speed. He will probably push me in that direction, but ultimately i have the say obviously. Just looking for a final say in how the install and drive went. Anyway, let me know what direction you went in! Looking forward to it!
