Question about Ram or MCleod
Question about Ram or MCleod I am in the market for a new clutch to hold some power and I am considering either of the two. My question is I see that many sponsors sell the Mcleod for 860 including the Master cylinder and the Ram doesnt come with this unless you add 200 to the order bringing the total package price to 1100. Is the Ram VDs system worth the extra 200 over the Mcleod and why?

yeah... the mcleod street twin is working great for me too. I am no where near 780 rwhp but hope to be there soon and this seemed like a no brainer to me since it was rated at like 1200. I wanted one I could grow into and not have to replace. I spent way more than the price you quoted from a sponsor but that was last year I thought they said the prices dropped or something. It is a beefy unit and did then make the weakest link my rear axle (which snapped with the M6 on mildly heated Nittos) I am not the only person who started breaking things after the clutch started to slip so be VERY CAREFUL if you don't have a stronger rear / gears etc.
It is a very beefy unit and seems to be working great for me right now. Once I get the rear in I'll see if I can cut some decent 60's (mine prob snapped on like a 1.8 estimated 60ft) If the guy above is cutting 1.2-1.3's then I'm feeling even better about this clutch
