Pro-shifted T56 is in...
This thing sure lets you know when you're in gear at partial throttle too, eh? Gives you a nice thunk as the teeth engage the slider.
Assembly was straightforward, but getting the lower case on was a bit tricky. The lack of synchros means that the 1-2 and 3-4 sliders just 'fall' in to gear. To assemble the trans on the bench, I had the shift selector in Reverse, and once I got the case on, I was able to lift/wiggle the shift fork rail and the 5-6/R rail, and get the shift rail bolts in place. From there it went together fast.
I didn't drive it around much, just a couple miles - out to the main street for a couple blasts, still have the bullets hanging off the headers (no exhaust). I bet the new neighbors (they were visiting their new house they're building 3 lots over) love me now.

When I drove Coach's tranny, it was sooooo smooth at WOT. Driving around town is a different story. lolHow long did it take for your parts to arrive?
Total cost was about $280 including shipping, with me providing all the gears and sliders.
