How is your Spec Clutch working for you?
My stock clutch has seen better days, and there isn't much juice left to squeeze from this lemon.
Was just wondering how your Spec clutchs are holding up, as i'm probably soon going to order a stage 1.

I had a spec 2+ in my car when I bought it, in the first month i somehow managed to put a ton of hairline cracks in the pressure plate on a 3 to 4 upshift and broke the springs. Alot of people love spec, I however haven't had good luck with them.

spec 2+ with lightweight pressure plate option here.....i upgraded to an adjustable tick clutch master cylinder, used the supplied slave spacer and spec throw out bearing.......it's been a good one, only about 13,000 miles but it's still like new.....i may try one of their twins next

I blew apart a ram hd with 410 rwhp and itd rattle teeth out.
My car heads/cam made 470+ with a spec 2 and it was great. When I built the 408 I put a new friction pad on the flywheel and bought a 3. Love it. No chatter and great feel. Just do yourself a favor and measure. The 2 required shimming, the 3 didnt.

Had a competiiton clutch don't know what stage, blew it apart, input shaft splines shattered (supposedly they have an upgraded clutch hub not going to find out), using a spec 3+ have had no problems although I liked how the CC felt better.

Morelli, Stage 3+ is rated to handle more than you are making so it may be worth taking the trans down to examine the parts and determine the issue. You can send pics to me of the parts for assessment if you like.

I've been running a Ram Powergrip HD for about 15,000 miles. It has been pretty good to me. I don't take it to the track but it still gets its use. I am putting down right around 420whp and 405 rwtq. I keep on beating it and it asks for more. I will be replacing it once I get back from Afghanistan just for good measure because I will be increasing the power with more go fast goodies.

I have to admit my Stage II+ with billet steel flywheel chatters like crazy but I'm only making 329 rwhp/345 ftlbs. at the rear tires. I purchased it with plans to add more power but the economy has put a hold on that. In hindsight, I should have went with something a little less aggressive...she grabs like crazy.

The 2+ will not normally be that prone to chatter. That being said, how many miles are on the clutch now? Where does engagement occur? Keep in mind that your technique for releasing the pedal can lead to more chatter than would be typical too...quick and smooth are the ideal way to release the pedal. If you drag your foot or slip it excessively then it will always be more apt to chatter.
