Default Did you Shim your Diamond clutch?

Just ordered a stage 2 Diamond clutch from Jason and was wondering if I should throw the shim on there or not. I know this is not needed but with the shim it raises the pedal engagement closer to stock. Just not sure if I would like it closer to the floor...never had a performance clutch so I don't really know what to expect with how it will drive.

So what did you guys do and pros / cons to either.

Ive ran his clutch in 2 of my cars, my older car I did not shim, and this one I did! His clutches will def get the job done, but if you plan on racing etc... you would want your engagement more towards the top so that you will be more likely to bump the clutch to make a faster shift... Well atleast thats the way I like it!

Ok...that makes sense. I'm no hardcore racer or anything, just the occasional street race. Cars going in at the end of the week for the clutch swap, only to sit in my garage after that till May. But at least it will be done.
