Default Reuse Clutch Pressure Plate?

Hi I just bought a slp lightened flywheel and the guy is throwing in his old mcleod dual friction clutch for free. It has 40k miles on it and no heat spots are on the flywheel or the pressure plate. I was going to get the disk rebuilt by McLeod or a local clutch shop if I can find one. I was wondering if I could reuse the old pressure plate I'm thinking it's like when you put new brake pads in and use the old rotors since they are still good. Can i just clean the surface of the pressure plate up with 80 grit or do I have to buy a new pressure plate. I was going to get the flywheel turned. Can I do this? Will it hurt anything if I do?
Thanks

The pressure plate is a spring they wear out too.
I'd not want to install anything used but thats my opinion.
Thats alot of work to find out it wont hold.
