Default POS pilot &.....

So, the transmision came out pretty good, i guess. Then the bell housing was a biotch. Now I'm almost to the point of reasembly I just have to get the damn piliot bearing out. We've worked onb the thing for the better part of an hour, we have wd-40 it and been going at it with a piliot bearing puller, me and my dad have both ripped it out a few times apiece. And yes I have to replace this, when I stuck my finger in it the first time all the bearings fell and all thats left isthe casing. So any tricks or sugestions are welcome.

part 2: on the clutch plate I noticed that were the input shaft to the trans goes into it that one side comes out a little farther than the other, so which side faces the motor and which side faces the tranny.

part 3: I need to replace the drive shaft, should I have it rebuilt or buy a new one??

A big thanks to any sound advice and

Well, depending on how deft you are with a chisel you could maybe chisel it out. A "hot wrench" torch might also help by slightly expanding the crank hub and then slamming on it with the puller but you have to be careful because you could burn up the rear main seal by doing that. You could also try to cut it partially with the torch but again be very very careful if you do that. I don't think it will greatly matter if you slightly damage where the bearing goes if you get it with a chisel but it doesn't do it any good eithor. I would also clean the area up with emory cloth before I put it back together. Good luck with it man. Sometimes things just don't go as easy as they should.

got the biotch out. Had a puller and was going at it for like 2 hrs, so i pulled out the jig saw, made a few cuts, and bam the thing came right out, I just wish I would have done it sooner.
