Default what's wrong with this picture?

My clutch went out, 94Z, LT1/M6. Just took it out and this is what it looked like. I'm no expert but it looks like the clutch springs gave out? here's the pics

anyone here know why?
the clutch is a Ram HD.

thanks.

Well, it makes sense that if one spring goes, the remaining tension is divided among the remaining springs. that could explain their failure... Did you put that clutch in? It looks like a no name clutch to me... I thought ram clutches were red???

Simply carnage from a WOT clutch dump. Probobly cheap Chinese junk springs.
That looks like a OE or OE replacement stock clutch to me. Nothing fancy and definitely not a Ram HD.

Looks like a valeo clutch to me... thats the same **** they sell at autozone and the like... Ive seen many of those separate and the springs break like that.. Replace it, thats all you can do... Does the PP or disc have any PNs on them? thats a definite way to tell.. also the TOB is an el cheapo as well... You sure you didnt go to Autozone.. lol

I'll get the PN's, wish it had been from Vatozone, then it be free replacement and I wouldn't have high hopes of it lasting a bit longer.

but definetly got it from Summit about a year and a half ago, paid $360something and I put it in while I had the engine out. Now, do I spend on Mcleod or Spec? or just get a Vatozone special and get free replacements?.....

BackinBlack, We offer a Stage 1 kit, that is a much stronger option for this application (as well as 6 other single-disc options). Take a look at the link below for more info.

http://www.specclutch.com/cars/Chevy/Camaro/1994/Single

Stephen, We sell thousands of these...what are you referencing relative to the input "shafts"...there is only one by the way? If you have an issue you are welcome to contact me at any time.

If you look at a spec pp you will see valeo on it they manufacture it to others specs and others put a sticker on it or paint it on. And it does look like a stocker disc to me as well. What a shame. Was just using spec as a ref. I also know from a 2+ spec i had in my 94.
