R: Grinding/Popping out of gear

R: Grinding/Popping out of gear Bought a car last week, 2000 m6 ws6. Self xmas gift
Every gear shifts excellent,very smooth.
Except REVERSE
It grinds, and pops out of gear unless I literally hold the shifter in place.
Also the clutch seems very weak and soft,too soft. Although besides reverse every gear grabs and shifts correct,but feels lacking at time and annoying mushy, rubber band clutch feeling.
Clutch supposed to have been replaced 50k miles,per previous owner. Im assuming stock
Parts store replacements.
What fixes reccomended??
What clutch and hydraulics reccomended??
Prefer to not rebuild trans or high dollar clutch and hydraulics. Just better than stock but still quality parts. Car will just be a cruiser c/c, nice day,weekend driver.
Not really interested in extreme twin disc,billet aluminum flywheel deals.
I got a stalled th400 1000hp 3rd gen in the works for the grudges
