Default Slave cylinder recomendations

does it matter what brand of clutch slave cylinder i buy... im installing a spec stage 2 clutch and resurfaced LS2 flywheel... Need a Slave cylinder, found some good deals on aftermarket stock type slave cylinders. Any advice, experience anyone wants to share?

God yes! Get a GM design and NOT a Delco design. (They are different.) Many people here have put in a Delco (like me) to have it blow up on them right away. If you search you'll find a lot of other info on this. (I think the AutoZone slave may be a more economical choice but recall that some people may have had issues with that, also.)

We offer a slave that comes with a 12 month warranty, they are OEM AP units.

autozone slave with AP cast into it, it's the same as GM

whatever you do just to NOT get a perfection/advance auto slave cylinder

This isn't so exciting on a (relatively) inexpensive part that is extremely costly (in time and effort) to install. I'm not even sure if a lifetime warranty would be exciting, either. Its just got to be proven as reliable.

ha thats funny because when i read SNL's post about a warranty on the slave cylinder i thought.... wounder if they are going to warranty the time and labor it will take me to change the slave if it goes out. Im headed to Auto zone for the slave mentioned in the above post. i wasnt bashen you SNL i just thought it was kinda funny

I'd say that getting a patent on a slave cylinder that can be installed without dropping the transmission would be a great thing, alas... I fear that the stick shift is going the way of the dinosaur...
