Default Clutch pedal stuck to floor

When I got out of my car this morning to get some gum, i pushed the clutch pedal to the floor to take it out of gear and it stayed on the floor.
I had been driving slowly for about 10 mins before I pulled over at a gas station to get gum.
I kept pushing on the pedal hoping that it would eventually pop back out, but it didnt. I then brought the pedal back to the top of the pedal travel and pushed it. This time it came back, but felt soft. I did this several times, and it firmed up some, but now the release point on the clutch has moved up a little.
Can anyone help me out with what is going on here?

My car is a 1998 Z28 6 speed. it has 80k miles on the stock clutch and the clutch fluid is black. I am gonna be getting a stage 3 spec in about one month.

Your clutch is probably just plain wore out. Make sure that you replace that burnt fluid when you install the new clutch.

The fluid is probably just shot. Sounds like it overheated.
I'd try replacing that and see if it's all better.
