Default First gear grind. What could it be?

Ok so I'm on a dead stop if I slam my cluch in and put it in first it will grind. Why? Its only if I do it really fast. I have to hold the cluch wait then put it in first and it won't grind. Is it my transmission or can it be my cluch? Thanks.

It probably a combination of your clutch not disengaging fast enough (possible air in the system or one of the cylinders have an internal leak), and the 1st and 2nd synchronizer rings are on their way out.

I had the same problem, only with 4th gear. Turned out being a bad blocker ring.
