The video I posted earlier, my buddy's heads/cam Formula, put down 400 RWHP on 2 different dynos. But he traps 122-124 mph.

But yes, he did it on ET Drags, and he dumps at ~6k. But I don't know if he's ever gone a 1.5x 60 foot (car is heavy). Most are 1.60's.

But that's the reason we get 12-bolts anyway, right? So we can dump and drive.

Would a spool be a very wise decision if your car is driven on the streets more often than not? It's my main car right now but still doesn't see a whole lot of driving as I have a company truck but still. On the weekends, I take the thing out and have fun. I'm thinking I definitely couldn't take turns all that quick with a spool? So for practicality...yes or no? 6K dumps sound like a very far and distant place for me so would a posi suffice?

TIA,
Justin

I drive my car a lot, most of my driving is street. race 1-4 times a month id say. it realy isnt bad on the street. if i had it to do over i would do a spool the first time and save 2000 bucks!

So a spool can't be used for a daily driver??? I was looking into a Moser 9" cause I've heard of people w/ m6 breaking 12 bolts and it's kinda confusing with all the options you can get on those things!!!

I need it to be daily driven and have good street characteristics and ABS.

Ive broke the spider gears in my posi, broke the ring gear bolts, and my driver side 33 spl. axle is twisting. Other than that , no probs But in all fairness I make an average of 20-25 passes a month on ET Streets

damn and I thought those rears can handle 1000hp and ****. I guess it all depends on the 60ft time?

My car is a street car too. You guys got me worried now that i know it will either break it (eaton posi) or lose streetability (spool). Can someone elaborate on this issue?

What are the down sides to driving with a spool everyday? I am about to order a Moser b/c I have destroyed my 10 bolt with 4.11's twice on the street. I am getting ready to really beef up my driveline with a Spec stage III as well so I would like to do this right if anyone has some personal experience or advice. Thanks.
