Default New shifter issues

So my new Hurst arrived today and it looked so badass that I couldnt wait to install it and rip some gears. When I removed the boots, I noticed right away that one of the bolts were missing. And upon removing the other three I found out the last joker stripped them all out. So I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. It looks like they put a thread insert in one or two of the holes but i cant tell which ones. Does anyone know what size the factory bolts are supposed to be. I guess im going to drill them out and retap. Any avice on this would be great.

Don't know what size they are, but you can either retap a bigger size or put a helicoil kit in it and use the stock size. Then you won't have to open up the holes in the shifter for the bigger bolts.

Thanks. I stopped on the way home and got a tap and dye set.



I just figured it out. They drilled them out and put standard size helicoils in and then ran the metric bolts back in. I had to chase them out and go get the right size bolts and now all is well.
