Clutch or Hydraulics?
We put the Trans Am on the dyno this weekend, and had some issues I could really use some help with before blindly buying parts.
First of, it's a stock T56 with a GM LS6 clutch and LS1 flywheel, 01+ slave cylinder, and a stock master cylinder. I bled the clutch with a Mityvac, and then bled it again using the traditional method with the bleeder screw.
On the dyno, it pulls to about 4800-5000RPM, then it's like going into neutral as the engine bounces off the rev limiter. The clutch pedal gets soft, but recovers when you pull it out. The engine was only making about 420-425ft-lbs from 3000RPM all the way until the clutch slips, so I really don't think it's anything the clutch shouldn't handle, but I don't know if it is the clutch or something with the hydraulics.
Thanks in advance.
