Default shifter install

ok so i bought a mgw short throw and a hurst **** today what do i need to install this and does the console have to come out of the car

You need to
Remove the consul there's like 4 screws I think.
Pull the ebrake up but disengaging the Rachel paul with a screw driver
Remove consul
Unbolt the cover over the shifter then there will be the stock bolts remove them and you remove your shifter. There will be 4 bolts on the corners.
Then you can remove the stock shifter.
Not sure if your shifter needs specific instructions for instal but when I did mine it was pretty obvious how it goes in.
Be sure to check out the plastic piece where the bottom of the shifter will go in and check for cracks or wear. Replace if needed.
Be sure to but silicone/gasket maker down and and around the base and steps are reverse.
It's pretty easy if you ask me, I hated taking the consul out but it's easy going.
Search the web for pic if you need them I found some when I put a hurst in my car. Good luck!
