I ran a spec with a stock (no drill mod) master with great success. Last year I ran a brand new master (stock/drill mod) with the ls7 and had nothing but problems. Every time I do the drill mod I have problems with bleeding. If I leave it alone it works better. If you have the money to spend, I highly recommend the tick master.

Oh, I have a spec +3 with the tick master and its wonderful. Spec gets over looked on tech because people install them wrong and they don't have the "in your face marketing" the others do. Great clutches. I'm on my second spec set up

I just installed a spec 3+ in mine and used my original MC. I'm having the same issues as you are. Low clutch engagement, and harder shifts. I'm guessing we need an upgraded MC.

What flywheel did you use? Brand new OEM? Stock turned? Did you measure for the size shim you needed?

I ran a new stock MC with a Spec 2 for a long time and had no issues banging gears.

The kits are setup to work with the stock master, as long as the stock master is working properly. We offer an adjustable master, based around the stock unit, that is a nice upgrade or you can opt for any of the other master cylinders on the market if you have issues with your original stock master. Let me know if you all have any further questions. Thanks,
