Default Clutch pedal sticking 98 TA

Just trying to figure out where to start without hopefully paying a fortune to get this fixed. I've sucked the fluid out of the reservoir and refilled it probably 20 times now and it's still the same. Sometimes it wants to work correctly and then other times it sticks to the floor. Clutch pedal feels very soft too. I know this is common but just wanting opinions on where to start.
Clutch slave, Clutch master?

you need to bleed through the slave. That way you can purge out the old fluid. Make sure you look real good to see if it's leaking from the bell housing before you bleed. If you find fluid, then your slave cylinder is probably the culpirt. If not, then try a fluid change and bleed. No hewlp, then it's the master cylinder. Just do a search and you'll find plenty of post on how to bleed.
