RAM 910 clutch installed!
I finished up installing a RAM 910 clutch this evening after work (thanks to Shane for staying late with me to help with the tranny). I put 40 miles on it tonight and I absolutely love it! Even with the stock, 3.42 rearend, there is zero chatter on take-off. I used the RAM billet flywheel (SFI approved), heavy-duty pressure plate, and the 910 disc. I already had a Mcleod adjustable m/c installed.
Pedal pressure did increase just a bit, but I actually prefer it like this. The LS6 clutch I was using previously had a very light pedal feel. Engagement is very smooth and the clutch can be slipped on take-off if need be. I used a Mcleod Rev-Lok II last year and I can say this RAM setup drives much better, and the Rev-Lok II was with 4.56 gears!
My 12-bolt/4.56 gears will be installed next week. Then I'll be ready to go back to some 6500rpm clutch dumps. I have a feeling this clutch isn't going to even blink an eye at that.
I attached a few pics of the clutch assembly. The pics of the disc didn't come out too well, so I don't have any of it.
Big thanks to Mike @ RAM clutches for getting me this clutch for the weekend. Look to see the entire RAM clutch line added to the Thunder Racing webpage in the coming weeks.

Hey Jason did you install it as it comes from the factory with all the shims in place for maximum clamp pressure? If you had no chatter with the 3.42 gears I want to try and install my 910 the same way that you did to avoid chatter. I got the VDS system with the flywheel etc just like you have so hopefully I'll be as lucky.

The part # on this clutch is 98931HD.
Andrew, 10s are the goal. We just have to see how far into the 10s it will be. I most likely will have heads on the car by the time it gets to hear to the track though.
Mike, I don't have the VDS kit. So, there are no shims.
