B&M RIPPER REVERSE PROBLEM!!!! Hey Guys,
I recently installed a B&M Ripper shifter in my 1999 C5 corvette But Now it is hard as hell to get the thing in reverse, reverse engages fine but the problem is getting it all the way to the right to put in reverse. It is so hard to get it over to the right that i have to use two hands(almost impossible with one!!!) to get it over into reverse. i followed the intructions perfectly and i had no problem with the install at all. Please reply if you have had the same problem or if this is normal or can be fixed. Thanks!

Sounds to me like you may have messed up your reverse lockout solonoid. Check to make sure its plugged in all the way. Its the one attached to the drivers side of the block where the shifter attaches to the tranny. If its the same as on fbodys you can get at it from the bottom or by taking the boot and rubber cover off the shifter (so you can see out the bottom) and it will be right there on the drivers side
