Clutch for my H/C ls2 in 93 rx7
Hey everyone,
I'm dropping a 2005 GTO ls2/t56 into my 93 rx7 and I'm going to swap out the clutch while everything is apart. The motor is a the machine shop now getting ls3 heads and a cam installed, so I need a clutch that will take around 500rwhp(hopefully). It seems like everyone loves the monster clutches, and I like that they come with a lightweight flywheel, but I'm not sure if I need the stage 2 or stage 3(going to run the #18 fly). Stage 2 is rated at 550/550, but is that wheel hp or flywheel hp? If flywheel I should be making around 450tq and at %18 loss that's 531, really close to the 550 rating. What do you guys recommend, stage 2 or stage 3 for my head/cam setup? I will be using a willwood MC so that should help with pedal feel. Also how is the mileage and drivablility on the stage 3? I plan on beating on the car BTW.
Thanks,
Ryan

Nobody?
I read on tick performance website where the monster stage 2 says it holds 550/550 whp and wtq, but that is the only website that says that. I called SNL performance today with no answer. Little help please?

Thanks for the reply, I got your call but my rotory clutch had literally just died so I was trying to make it home without a tow truck. The clutch fork bent and now I can barely get it into gear. So now it's time for the real motor!
So to recap what I learned from Monster, the 550/550 rating on the level 2 is actually rear wheel HP and TQ. But since I plan to auto x it and do some road racing they recommended the level 3. Also the life of the level 3 is around 50,000 miles even with severe beatings And the drivablility is still pretty much stock, so I'm definitely going level 3 for the extra $50 bucks. It seems like there are no downsides to the level 3 honestly.
Thanks SNL/Monster!
