New Hurst shifter
New Hurst shifter I just installed a new Hurst Billet shifter in my 99 SS. I love the new crispness and accuracy of the shifts. I am wondering if additional noise from the tranny is normal. I can hear more tranny noises now. I do not hear anything terrible, but I do seem to hear the transmission more now. I guess that I would prefer not to hear any additional noise, but if that is the price for better shifting I will bear the cost.
Is this normal?
I did use the rubber boot that came with the shifter as well as the larger boot that screws to the floor.
I suspect that there may be sound deadening in the stock shifter mechanism as well???
Also, occasionaly I have a hard time finding 3rd now. Are there any adjustments for this??
