Default T56 GTO VS Magnum lenght. Exacly dimensions

Hi
I have ordered a T56 Magnum with 2.66 first gear. Delivery time will be one month. And want to order a new driveshaft before the trans is here.

The driveshaft I have now is made up to fit a 2004 GTO T56.
So anyone know exacly the lenght difference on the Magnum and GTO trans?

How much shorter do I need to make the GTO driveshaft to fit Magnum?

Thanks!

Not sure on length difference but you know the magnum uses a slip yoke correct?

The Magnum is also a 31 spline output shaft. The tailshaft housing is approx 1.9" longer; however I wouldn't order a dshaft until you have it in the car.

I'm getting a T56 Magnum delivered next week and will take some measurements for reference of the differences between it and an Fbody T56. I have a GTO shifter assembly as well for additional reference.

There are a number of shifter options for the T56 Magnum to put the shifter handle where you want it. Forward/aft of its current position by +/- 3" in the same plane or if you can offset it slightly up to 3.8".

I just got the Magnum and it's exactly 21 3/8" from the end of the transmission (without bellhousing) to the center of the shifter as it comes standard and 28.5" in total length. Mine had a 1" bell housing adapter for a ZR1 clutch and flywheel. Does anyone know the dimension from the bell housing where it bolts to the motor to center of the GTO shifter on the T56? I have found an image that shows it's 33" but I would prefer to have that verified.
