I dont mean to sound like a dick but please try a search next time theres like 343235792 threads on this. In short yes it will you need an ls7 clutch kit with an ls7 flywheel and it bolt right up to your ls1 t56. you should also throw in a new slave while your at it.

Yes, but you'll need a different fly wheel so buy it as a kit. Having said that the LS7 clutch isn't that great, I'd look into buying a Monster clutch instead. There level one is as smooth as a Stock clutch or if you plan to drag race very often there level 2 is almost just as smooth and will take more abuse. You should also replace your slave cylinder almost any time you have you trans out of your car along with a new pilot bearing. You'll also want/need a remote bleeder line they should have been installed on these cars from the factory. Last but certainly not least, the stock master cylinders on these cars are a complete joke. They don't flow enough fluid so your clutch will drag and not let you shift at high RPM's and will also slowly ruin the syncro's in your trans. So you'll want a Tick Performance master cylinder, and sense you'll need all of these things plus some new bolts you might as well buy all these parts in one complete kit. Even if you choose to buy a LS7 clutch you'll still need all of those other parts so if your looking at the LS7 clutch to save some money it's probably not much cheaper than the kit once you add up all of the parts separately.

OP if your like most of us that have to piece things together cause we just can't throw down a grand right off the bat, then you can buy just the LS7 clutch kit. I have one and to be honest I wish I wouldn't have bought it. It's a nice DD clutch but, for me and how I use the car it's not the right clutch. I will say that my LS7 did not come with a pilot bearing and they are cheap at the parts store. Also, a stock replacement master will work just fine. The Tick Master is not a necessity. Just do the drill mod on your stock line until you can afford a better rebuildable master. You can find a lot of info on that and other things here www.installuniversity.com or here for other things www.ls1howto.com. You will need a new slave cylinder. I recommend the RAM unit. Also you'll want to measure for a shim with any clutch you install and this goes especially for the LS7 clutch. You can find that here

if your doing the full kit I'd do the level 1 monster clutch. Unless your making more than 450whp the level 1 should be fine and drive like stock. The level 2 and up will have some chatter the 3 more so but the 2 will chatter a little bit if its not beat on whereas the 1 wont and its still stronger than a ls7... BTw you will love the tick master i thought the stock one was ok until i got the tick hahah
