Not sure what year they stopped but the first few years of the T-56 on the LT1 did not have a removable bell housing.

EDIT: I'm a tard, looks like all T-56's on the F-bodies had removable bell housings. I will delete the site I read the wrong info on!

it would but your going to need a few parts. first thing is your going to need the bellhousing from your t56 and you will also need to order the ls1 style front plate for the transmission for the slave to bolt to because the ls1 uses a slave inside the bellhousing to and you will also need the ls1 style input shaft because it s longer than the lt1. total its about $350 in parts and about 2 hours work to actually swap the parts taking your time.

If you know the 95 is a good working trans and is free then go for it. however if its questionable or you have to pay for it then just fix yours..

This is simply wrong. ALL T56 F-car transmissions had removable bells...ALL of them.

I had the chance to buy a T-56 out of a LT1 camaro. I looked it up online at some trans shop that stated the like 1994-1995 T-56 in the LT1 did not have a removable bell housing. I will try and find the link tomorrow when I get off of work. Good to hear that info is wrong, I could have got that trans for $400.
