Default Jerico 4-speed

Does anyone out there know what kind of torque Jericos can take? I'm wanting to run one but don't know if it is worth my time. I'm gonna be in the 800 lb/ft. range.

Most of the Jerico 4 speeds I have read about have been in the 550 - 700ft/bs range so that may be something to consider

It won't be a problem with the right clutch. You'll need an adjustable one to soften the hit. Not real cheap but totally worth it if you wanna go fast with a stick.

Don't cup cars run Jerico 4 speeds? I figured they would hold ***** power?

Sprint cup cars run a similar set up but there trams are top
Loaders I think. I know that they run them in NHRA super stock hemi cars but they aren't pushing the torque I'm looking to make.

All Jerico 4 speeds are top loader designs. The cup guys have the road race sliders to allow them to downshift much easier. The thing that really kills manual trans, is the violent launch the clutch causes. That's where an adjustable clutch comes in. If you can, check out the forums at UMTRnorth.com Some very knowledgeable hardcore manual trans drag racers over there.
