Can someone tell me exactly how the rod connects to the pedal assembly? I'm having a bit of trouble getting it disconnected and want to make sure I'm doing it correctly. It's hard to see up there since it butts rigHt up to a metal bracket.

There's a clip that you take off and then slide the rod off the pedal assembly
