Default Tick Master Cylinder install issues

Trying to get my tick MC in, I already bench bled it, but I'm having issues getting it in (positioned correctly under the brake booster). I don't have anything removed is there something I didn't remove that could be in the way? I wrestled the old master cylinder out no problem, but I knew getting this one in would be a challenge. Any ideas?

Once its lined up, it should go right into place. Obviously, make sure you disconnect the turnbuckle/heim joint from the masters rod. If the car still has air injection on the manifolds/headers you may remove that to give you a bit more room.

Yeah, It's quite a challenge. That big chunk of aluminum gets in the way of everything. Easiest way to install these is to pull the brake booster off and do it that way. We have them installed in about 45 minutes now and thats with taking the booster off.

Its a pain. Great master cylinder, but after a while of trying to give up I tried one more time and some how it went in. Just keep twisting and it will go in.

Thanks for the help guys. I did not get it in because I haven't had a chance to go to my garage due to work. I'm eager to get back there and get it in

I just installed mine last week. It will wiggle into place w/o removing anything. Patience and a gentle touch got it done. The only thing I did was move the wiring harness to the side to squeeze past it. Disconnect the clip holding the wiring harness to the fender and push it to the side. If you continue to have troubles read over the notes provided by Tick. It was the third time reading them I saw the part about shoving the wiring harness to the side.

I removed the break master cylinder, and disconnected the steering linkage and it went in, in about 10 minutes.

I cannot get this thing mounted guys. It just doesn't seem like its going to fit. I got the threaded stem into the hole and that was about it. It was a long day so I called it quits after an hour or so of finessing due to being tired from work...gotta love second shift

New night, same story. 2 hours of wrestling and finnegling and it's still not in. How it mounts on the firewall and where the actual cylinder is going to be just seems impossible due to the brake booster being there. I cannot get this thing in, only the rod is through the hole...am I doing something wrong here?

If you can try and get a picture or video of what you have going on behind the brake booster.

or... you'll just have to remove it to get the cmc in

I might end up doing that.

I have moved the harness out of the way. It just seems like it's not going to mount correctly unless there's more room back there then I can see/feel

When you say only the rod is through, do you mean the rod that attached to the peddle or the short one that it screws onto? If youre trying to install it with the peddle arm still attached thats your problem. Remove it. Try doing what I did. Undo the steering linkage knucked thats right there. Make sure you mark it so you dont have alignment issues. Then you will have more room to get the block in there at the right angle. Have a friend sit inside and guide you. When he/she can see the holes for the bolt have them thread the bolts in so it doesnt move, and fine tune and finess it from there.

Welp guys. I'm officially embarassed but I figured you'd probably get a laugh out of this, I was trying to put it in the wrong way, I could've swore by the bolt pattern it would've went in the way I thought but after looking at it the 100th time I realized. It was a very noobish mistake on my part but you live and you learn. Never installed a new clutch master cylinder before. Once I figured that out it went right in. Thanks for all the help, greatly appreciated
