the t5 gforce gear sets i see are around 1500 and that doesnt include the install... maybe they can be found cheaper im not sure but that right there will buy you a good t56 and what was said above is right.... the t5 was never designed for big hp in a heavyish car. it may survive behind a v8 in a light car like a miata but id never put faith in one in an fbody... and fwiw the gforce sets i believe are rated to 550hp although i havent seen someone take them that high usually the synchros go before the gears anyway

I plan in it being a street car spinning and not getting traction really unless it's on the highway. A friend of mine had the g-force kit in his mustang and broke the countershaft teeth on 3rd gear really slamming the heck out of it so if I dont do that I should be fine. Also I'll prob install the kit myself.

The G Force kit isn't as strong as the A5 kit we use in our high end T5's.
