Has anybody had any experience with shot peening you're gears and would you recommend doing it?
Rebuilding my T56 off my 00 Camaro with 160k miles on it. I was wondering if i should have the gears that i will be reusing shot peened and cryo treated before reassembling my trans. Thanks for any input you guys might have.

TREMEC gears are shot peened. This is not as simple as throwing shot at the gear teeth. Peening causes parts of the gear to swell ....so other processes are required to do this correctly.
