Well it was bound to happen.....my second gear has been making odd sounds lately and then I let my buddy borrow my car and I know he didn't beat on it, but he told me he went to grab second and it wasn't there.... it won't even engage anymore and when you do let out the clutch, you can hear it grinding so i'm guessing I sheared the teeth off of it.

So i'm gonna rebuild it myself. But of course my car being a '93 and having a million other 1 year only B.S.. I find it impossible to find any parts for this thing, especially the gears which i'm going to need.

Anybody with experience with the '93 tranny? Where can I find specific parts for it and what all is different besides the gear ratio and absense of CAGS?

 

Theres a complete unit in the Texas classified for $600. You could probably sale yours messed up for a couple hundred.

 

Anyone else?
