transmission grind while shifting wot from 2 to 3

while shifting from second to third at wot, the transmission grinds when going into gear....what are the possibles? driver error yes, clutch...., 125k on the car, not stock transmission, but unknown age

you only had the thread up for an hr or so give people time to answer..... anyway it sounds like your 3rd gear synchro is going out. if its grinds in other gears it maybe a bad clutch m/c or something hydraulic but if not its time for a rebuild
