Default Tick Performance MC questions..

Before I start I want to say YES, I did do a search

I've had this MC for a while and I'm not having any problems or anything, but I had some questions. When I shift during normal driving or racing it feels notchy. I have a MGW shifter and I don't have problems getting in gear, but on VERY RARE occasions when racing and sometimes during normal driving, when I shift it feels so smooth and not notchy at all.

This also happened sometimes with the stock MC. My clutch also catches 1/2 way up from the floor and I read about adjusting it just allows more fluid. Is lack of fluid causing the notchy feel? Its just really hard for me to shift fast because it's not as smooth as I'd like it to be. My clutch pedal height is the same height as the brake pedal. While looking at it today it seems that the clutch pedal spring is also still there and I read that it's better to take it out.

However, I'm not sure I'm looking at the right thing. Anyone have a picture of this clutch spring and how to take it out? I couldn't fit my hand up there and yes, I took out to panels under the dash. Here's a vid of me shifting my fastest as it sits, but I definitely think I could shift it faster if it was less notchy.

Mine tends to be a bit notchy around town. Racing on the other hand its flawless. It grabs about a inch off the floor but its also about a .5" to 1" lower than my break pedal. Tick says adjust it all the way at its shortest length and back it out until the car goes into gear smoothly. Maybe try readjusting it/ or rebleed it.

Take it out. Your pedal will be smoother.

How do I take it out? It's hard to reach up there even with the 2 panels out of the way.

Just popped it off. Feels much better! I can't believe I've had it on with the Tick MC since '09 and I now just read about this. LOL, now there's no more dead space in the pedal.
