Default Cleaning Magnets inside the Case

I'm gearing up to rebuild a T56 I pulled apart a few years ago. I have the case gutted, and noticed that the magnets have a lot of metal filings stuck to them. I'm having a devil of a time getting them clean. Any tricks to getting all of those filings off the magnets? Can I adequately clean the case at home? Or do I need to take it to a machine shop for a dip/sonic/dishwasher?

Just a thought, but have you tried a bigger magnet?

I did, but it seems to leave a lot behind. Maybe I'll search for a crazy big rare earth magnet online...

I'm talking about real compressed air, with an air compressor and a nozzle. Not the crap you buy in a can to dust off your computer
