no there is one def on the pedal yours may have been missing if you bought the pedals used as they do break. it is possible th ops broke and was hanging up on the pedal

i initially left the spring in when I installed my clutch and mc... but since the travel was reduced (by approx.40% or so) after the install there was not enough pedal travel for the spring the push the pedal back up causing the pedal to stick to the floor...so i just removed it.

so it was kinda like the spring was working in the opposite direction causing the pedal to stick...
