Default Clutch

I have a 1999 Trans am that I am looking to put a new clutch in. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what kind of clutch I should do. The car is completely stock but would like to do some modifications to it like a cam, headders, heads, intake, etc.

I have a ram powergrip clutch. I payed like 500-600 bucks for and it still holds strong. Its rated to hold up to 500hp. Monsters clutches are pretty gud as well

Hey Backdraft, thanks for the recommendation.

I've got a monster level 2...the car is a street, lapping and autox machine. I'm at stock HP for now...don't think i need very much more for my application.

It depends what you're going to do with car? if you're going to drag, GM stock clutches will not hold for very long...if you're ride is solely street, stock is beautiful.

if you do not want to lose your hair prematurely..please install a clutch bleeder line...you're gonna be in there anyways.

Spec stage 2 and 3 are also good clutches but you may need to shim the slave cylinder...this will require measurements to determine the width of shim to use, if it's necessary...
