t56 reverse lockout
#1
I've got a 2000 camaro ss and I was having trouble getting it into reverse but I managed to get it in. Now it just slips right past the gate with no resistance at any speed. Kinda dangerous. How can I fix this? I heard it may be a fuse but I have no idea which one. Please help

If the fuse was blown, the transmission would be tough to get into reverse. This may have been the cause of the difficulty getting into reverse, but now that it goes into reverse freely I would suspect that the lockout solenoid is faulty/stuck.
The fuse is in engine compartment and labeled as eng sens but I'm not sure which one exactly.
The wiring is simple. Power from the engine sens fuse with ignition. Ground is supplied by the computer at a low speed to allow the solenoid to actuate in order to reach reverse unrestricted.
If you need a new reverse lockout, we've got a bunch of used ones. We can sell you one for maybe $30 shipped or we have new ones for around $100 I think.
