Fun with AN fittings
Im creating a custom clutch line for my ls1 t56 Sonoma. I will be using these fittings:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/RUS-641001/
(these go into the slave and into the master cylinder)
I have the option of using -3AN or -4AN fittings and lines. Which would be the best for me? I will be using the same master cylinder that the popular Tick master incorporates. I will be running a VERY stiff clutch.. thats just what I like. So I will need a setup that will be able to take the abuse.
Also I want to use a small section of AN that will protrude right outside the trans, then have the rest go to the master. That way I will be able to remove the line easier.
Any thoughts?

I used the -3 as well, one thing with my setup that was irritating was my local fitting house didn't have anything in -3, was all special order. I needed a 90 to complete my setup and ended up spending $20 on an earls 90.....
You could save some money by going with -4 because standard JIC hydraulic fittings are in good stock and for a better price at your local hydraulic shop.
Most can also do a stainless braided line crimped to your specific length requirements with off the shelf -4 crimp fittings. I hate waiting for parts to complete my projects.
