Hello All,
I’ve been chasing down a intermittent single bump during the 1-2 upshift in my ’04 V. I’ve bled the clutch 4 times and changed the transmission fluid twice. I’m now 100% convinced it is something internal (likely minor but why not dig in and fix it).
A few questions for you:
-Did the ’04 CTS-Vs come with the steel shift forks from the factory? (I think they did?)
-Did the ’04 use the 3 piece carbon blocker rings? (I think they did?)
- To be safe I think I am going to order a new 1-2 synchro, second gear and fork pads. Can I just get the blocker ring assembly for 2nd and not for first or will that cause issues?
What are do folks who have them currently installed think about the brass fork pads? I’ve read good and bad about both them and the stock nylon ones. I’m just looking for a smooth shifting stock transmission. No big plans for major power adders or anything.
Thanks for your help

I've heard that before as we'll... I'm **** and it is driving me nuts, lol. I also think it will be fun to take it apart and fix the issue (assuming it is a resolveable issue).
