Default hydraulic line into slave cylinder

I pulled my engine and tranny out of my 01 camaro and I'm now putting it back in. I cannot get the hydraulic line back in the slave cylinder. I thought I had it in and pushed the clutch pedal in. The pedal went to the floor and the line popped out. Now I can't get the line back in. Anybody know what my problem is?

does it have the teflon ring or the c clip style?
If teflon make sure its all the way out. or remove it and keep it.
If its the clip pull the clip till it push in then lock the clip in.

It has the teflon ring. I'll try to crack the bleeder open and hopefully that will work.
