Default Question about C5 t56 and fbody t56

Will a c5's t56 tranny bolt right up to a F-body? Or is the output shaft different?

And if the output shaft is different, would it be hard to take it off my old tranny and put it on the new one?

Thanks

Mike

same gearing... assuming m6 to m6 not m12... the problem is that the gears are put in in reverse order due to the tranny being a reverse mount install in the vette... so 1st would actually be 5th if it was in a f-body... 2nd - 6th, etc....

its not reverse mount, thats ridiculous. you'd probably need to change the input shaft, output shaft, shift rail, front cover, and extension housing.
