I have a centerforce clutch with only around 2500 miles on it and has been flawless untilbtheblast week or 2 the clutch pedal is getting soft but hasn't until it gets really cold the shifting is a little rougher when it's doing so. Whats the problem
Hey man, I had/have the same problem also when it's cold, I would have to constantly pump the clutch in it's "dead spot" to build up pressure to feel confident enough to shift gears if it was below 50 degrees. I believe it's common on fbody's to have a noticeable "spongy" feeling when it's cold due to the hydralics. Do you have the Centerforce setup with the matching pressure plate and flywheel? I have the Centerforce clutch with roughly 80k miles and had the same symptoms every winter until I replaced my Master Cylinder with a Ticks Performance.
Check the clutch fluid periodically to make sure it's not leaking and also to see if the fluid turns black. If it's fine in both fields and you tried bleeding it I would suggest looking into buying a new Master Cylinder (( Highly recommend a Ticks )). If you go down the route and buy the Ticks make sure to remove the clutch return spring, that made all the difference for me. I haven't had a spongy clutch in the past month *Knock on wood* and it's been below 20 degrees at night.
I'm not sure if it's the matching flywheel but it's not very used yet but it's warmer here today and I'm having no problems but it was cold yesterday and out was doing it so I'm assuming it's just the cold affecting it.
