Help!
Hey Everyone....
I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if so how did you go about correcting it.
Problem:
I take my car to *said shop* and the car was running fine. They put in a new spec stage 3 clutch and pressure plate in. They resurfaced the flywheel(which came with the spec stage 3 clutch that they replaced.). I get the car back. Upon startup...with the clutch pushed in(all the way to the floor) there is this NASTY vibration...that only gets worse as you go up through the RPMS.
I take it back to *said shop* and the tell me nothing is wrong with the clutch. They removed the tranny and had the pressure plate/clutch off and all the belts off my engine(because they are claiming my "pullies" are throwing the balance off and causing the vibration(which I know is BS...I had no issues with the car before this clutch install).
*said shop* said that they started the car up with only the flywheel and all belts off and said it had no vibration. Then they added the pressure plate/clutch and no vibration...added the tranny nothing. Added just the serpentine belt and they said that's when the vibration acted up.
I slowly drive the car back to where I'm staying and as soon as I get back, I yank off the serpentine belt(only belt on the car right now...blower and AC belts are off) and start the car. Guess what...I still have the freakin' vibration.
I called Spec's customer service #. They said when you turn a flywheel, you have to rebalance it. So now my car is down for another week(already down 2 because its annoying as hell to drive...much less I don't want to drive it any more then I have to right now). I am taking it to another shop and having them take care of it. Both Spec and I suspect the flywheel because the vibration is all the time, even with the clutch pushed in and pushing the clutch in doesn't make the intensity any less or make it worst.
Anyone help?
