this is weird Last night my buddy grenaded his rear end on his 96z28. and for some reason now it wont go into any gear except 5 6 and reverse. got under the car and the drive shaft wont move most likely cuz of the rear end. we both spin the rear tires in the same direction and it spins freely. there is little movement in neutral like the shifter wont move over to where 1 2 3 4 is. makes no sense to me
Was there a question? Pull the driveshaft and check it again. If the rear-end locked up under load, it may have damaged the trans, but you'll not be able to do a diagnosis until the 'shaft is removed.
