Default Can clutch slip?

Does anybody run their clutch soft so that it slips a bit on launch? If so, what brand?
How about a Long or Borg and Beck pressure plate?

No if the pressure plate did that it'll also slip when you dont want it to.
I know my stocker did that on a launch & thru the RPM range.

Not if you have centrifugal assist, like Long clutches do. I think even some diaphrams used to.

To soften the shock load to the tires so they plant instead of spinning.

Not if the disk grabs better when it warms up, or not if you have centrifugal assist like a Long or Borg and Beck. I seem to recall that some diaphram clutches did a while back.

That is what I thought I was getting, but instead ended up with the individual pieces, which RAM says won't work.
