Default T56 rebuild question

Hey all, as I am putting my t56 back together from my first rebuild, I notice that none of the rebuild kits/ contain #179 spacer. It is a plastic spacer found on the main shaft. I tried searching for it, but no success. So my question to all of you who rebuild t56, do I need to replace it and if so where can I purchase it?

Thanks

It comes in the full bearing rebuild kits that include the needle bearings. It keeps the needle bearing under 3rd gear down under load area of the gear and not walk up towards the cone area by the synchro. It was metal in the early models, and later revised to plastic as it has no load/wear on it.

Did you lose your original?

Most anyone that rebuilds T56s should have dozen's of them laying around.
