Default My clutch on my 2000 trans am

Was just wondering I was thinking of replaceing the clutch in my car and I was told that I have to replace the flywheel also is this true

Yes pretty much all the replacement come with a flywheel, If you are stock or don't hammer the car on the track an LS7 clutch will work great.

A complete LS7 clutch(as mentioned above^) will be more than enough, unless you have heavy mods or something.

Has the flywheel been machined and reused previously? If not, then it should be fine to cut it and reuse it. Check the total thickness of the flywheel and let me know what you see. I will be happy to let you know if it is within a usable thickness range. Also, let me know what you planned torque output is and I will be happy to make a clutch recommendation too.

I was told when I bought the car the guy had just put in a new clutch and flywheel in it a few months before I got it he said that he put a luk set in it. it just seems to me that its not grabbing as hard as when I got it but its not slipping. It is my dd right now and am not planning on making alot of mods to it just minor upgrades to get a little more power out of it.

Luk is code for straight up stock replacement most likely.
