Thanks to Tick
When I did my H/C/I on my car I also got a new slave, gm master( at the time I didn't know about the Tick MC) and a monster stage 2 clutch. Well before I got the car running I found a thread one night praising the Tick MC and decided to not put my new gm unit in( figured I'd save up and change it out soon). Well I noticed it was alittle harder to shift and to get into reverse. Kept getting worse to the point where I was like well I have this new stock MC I can put on and make it alittle better. Put it in and was much worse, couldn't get it into gear hardly at all and not reverse at all. Decided after looking though some threads that it was either my pressure plate, my slave needs shimed or maybe a Tick MC would cure it.
I decided since it was easier to change the MC instead of dropping the tranny to do it first. It was something I wanted anyway so why not, and I'm glad I did cause it not only cured my issues but now shifts WAY better.
If your thinking of replacing your MC GET A TICK!!!!
I can't say if your having the same issues I was having it'll fix it, but it's a damn good starting place and if it doesnt fix it when you do get the problem gone you'll be glad you have it cause of the way your car will shift.
Would like to personally think Martin at Tick for awnsering my pm's and helping me the best he could.
I will say its a BiTCH to get in, but there isn't much on our cars that isn't!
If you get one read the sticky on how to bleed it. Worked great.
Anyway just wanted to share, thanks again TIck!
Just like you I can either pull down the whole trans again to shim the slave and hopefully get it to fix it, or I could just order the Tick master so I just ordered it. I'm really excited to post up my results, I've heard nothing but good things.
